Peering connections maintenance [Update]

Dear Customer,

Our provider announced a maintenance of their Amsterdam infrastructure acting as a hub for some of our links to European internet exchanges. [UPDATE, see below] During the maintenance window our connections to the mentioned below internet exchanges may be down. The traffic will be safely rerouted to our transits and other exchanges which will stay up all the time.

The exchanges NOT affected by the maintenance:
- AMS-IX in Amsterdam
- DE-CIX in Frankfurt
- LINX in London
- BNIX in Brussels
- Netnod in Stockholm
- NIX1 in Oslo
- DIX in Copenhagen

The exchanges affected by the maintenance:
- PLIX in Warsaw
- NIX in Prague
- BIX in Budapest
- Espanix in Madrid
- NYIIX in New York
- SIX in Bratislava
- SwissIX in Zurich
- VIX in Vienna
- FranceIX in Paris
- MIX in Milan
- Interlan in Bucarest

Our network performance should not be affected by the traffic rerouting, however there is a possibility of suboptimal network paths with temporary higher delay or lower transfer than usually.

Core router reload

Dear Customer,

Cisco has supplied a couple of patches for our core routers.
During this maintenance we will apply these patches to our core router at Evoswitch.

The updates entail three reloads of the router.
During the maintenance window all traffic will be rerouted through our other core router at Telecity-2.

Our provider announced maintenance of their circuits to our network. During the maintenance the networks paths used to reach Deutsche Telecom network and DTag customers may change, but no impact is expected, as we will reroute traffic to other links.

Our carrier Telia announced a maintenance and scheduled a software update on one of their routers.

During the maintenance the networks paths (mostly incoming to our network) via Telia may change, but no impact is expected as we will reroute traffic to other links.

Within the maintenance window network paths may change for all IPv4 and IPv6 addresses used and announced by Leaseweb.

Our DSL partner BBNed have the following maintenance planned:

Activity description : BBned needs to perform maintenance in the core network. These maintenance activities are necessary to assure the stability of our network. During this maintenance we are affecting all our core switches, meaning that all orders will experience a maximum of 5 short outages during this maintenance.

Because the automatic routing process is dynamic we cannot tell which individual orders will be affected at what particular time in the process.

Impact : multiple interruptions

Reason : regular maintenance

Impact: Complete disruption of storage availability
Duration: Approx. 6 hours
Reason: Disruptive upgrade of firmware

Dear Valued Customer,

From Saturday 27th 22h00 to Sunday February 28th 08h00, LeaseWeb has scheduled a large maintenance window on the storage platform. During this maintenance we will upgrade all storage devices to the latest stable releases of the NetApp firmwares and redo some wiring.
The current storage solution doesn't support non-disruptive upgrades. To ensure the upgrades proceed without any errors, we need to disconnect all connected customers from the storage platform. This will result in a downtime between 6-8 hours.

The upgrade is necessary to improve stability and performance, and have some important bug fixes.

IMPACTED SERVICES

Virtual Servers (shared/private): Before starting disconnecting the storage solution we will cleanly shutdown all Virtual Machines on our shared/private platforms. After the upgrade we will start all Virtual Machines.

Webhosting: part of our webhosting cluster is using the storage. Websites will be unavailable and a temporary maintenance page will be shown.

Private connections: Customers having their own virtual platforms or storage connections to our storage infrastructure, are requested to shutdown all connections before 00h00.
